Getting these single piece axle boots installed ended up being far easier than I expected it to be. • I first flipped the boot inside out (this is a key first step), then dunked it in a bucket of hot hot water to soften it up a bit. Next I used a bit of lube and a couple of screw drivers to work the boot around the flange. This takes some physical effort, but it is overall very very easy to do.
