VP JD Vance predicts criminal wrongdoing will be found in alleged welfare fraud cases and argued those who covered up abuse should face prison time.

Vice President JD Vance has announced a series of measures to combat fraud in federal health programs, including a significant deferral of $1.3 billion in Medicaid funding to California. Vance, acting as the fraud czar,

"The simple reason is because the state of California has not taken fraud very seriously," Vance said.

Vice President JD Vance traveled to Maine on Thursday to campaign for a Republican congressional candidate and expand the Trump administration’s campaign to root out fraud schemes across the country.

Vice President JD Vance will be in Bangor today where he is expected to talk about fraud and to stump for former Republican Gov. Paul LePage.
