HBO’s “Harry Potter” TV show is headed back to the movie series’ roots as it prepares to kick off filming in Leavesden. Production on the TV adaption of J.K. Rowling’s beloved book series is slated to begin in summer 2025 at Warner Bros.

HBO has officially greenlit a second season of its Harry Potter show (H/T Variety ), which will start filming this Autumn 2026. The news comes over seven months before the first season is due to premiere this Christmas.

Harry Potter is coming back with a new release next month on HBO Max, and it serves as the perfect project before the reboot TV show arrives.

Up until now, most of the recent reporting around Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO and Warner Bros. Television's upcoming multi-season series adaptation of bestselling author J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" novels has focused on casting reports and rumors.
