After a powerful stretch of Midwest storms brought tornadoes, flooding and damaging winds to parts of Nebraska and the region, the National Weather Service is urging residents not to wait for the next warning to think about safety.

A tornado warning was issued for Beatrice, Harbine, and Ellis, Nebraska on Thursday as scary visuals of the storm was shared on social media.

A handful of tornado warnings popped up across eastern Nebraska, Sunday night, including some surrounding the capital city to the north and south.

Multiple rounds of storms have moved through southeastern Nebraska, causing extensive damage on Monday.
