Thousands of Christians flooded the National Mall on Sunday to attend Rededicate 250, an opportunity to publicly pray and worship in Washington alongside their fellow Americans ahead of the nation’s Semiquincentennial.

The event is scheduled to take place at the exact time most American Christians are at worship in their local congregations — 10:45 a.m.

D.C. is getting ready for a big America 250 event this weekend with Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer on the National Mall. It’s happening the same day thousands of families and students also will be on the mall for George Washington University’s graduation ceremony.

Rededicate 250 and the George Washington University commencement will cause road closures in Washington DC by the National Mall.
