Microsoft's Windows 11 26H1 update isn't coming to your current PC
You'll need an Arm-based PC with Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 chip or Nvidia's rumored N1 chip.
Windows 11, version 26H1 will arrive exclusively on ARM-based hardware in early 2026 and is not being offered as an in-place update for existing installations, Microsoft said Tuesday.
Microsoft has confirmed Windows 11 version 26H1 devices cannot move to 26H2 in 2026, forcing Snapdragon X2 PCs onto a separate update branch until 2027.
Microsoft reached out to Windows Latest to confirm Windows 11 26H1 is real and rolling out. Existing PCs get version 26H2.
