First Alerting to a lightning threat Memorial weekend
A First Alert Weather Day remains in place Saturday for the likelihood of rain and thunderstorms, some which could be strong.
Sunday will start the day off with dry and cloudy skies. We will not see the chance of rain increase until late in the afternoon and then more into the evening. Some thunderstorms may try to mix in as well. Rain will taper off into Sunday night, however some hit or miss showers will be around for Memorial Day.
Chicago-area residents can expect improving weather conditions through Memorial Day weekend, with sunshine and warmer temperatures returning after a chance of overnight rain.
