Leaders of the racing teams penalized for violating IndyCar rules during Indianapolis 500 qualifying say their teams did not intend to give their drivers an unfair advantage.

Jack Harvey and Caio Collet's respective teams issued statements saying they did not intend for a competitive advantage when they violated Indianapolis 500 qualifying rules.
